Parisot. The school canteen equipped thanks to the France Relance plan

Catherine Fourcherot, secretary general of the prefecture, sub-prefect of the arrondissement of Montauban, came on Friday to formalize the new school catering equipment of Parisot, winner among 84 eligible municipalities for its good management of short circuits and its preparations on square. The France Relance plan in favor of agriculture, food and forestry includes support for certain school canteens, up to 50 million euros. Canteens are a privileged place to raise children's awareness of food issues. The ambition of this measure is to accelerate local and sustainable procurement in nursery and elementary schools. The aid enables the acquisition of equipment for processing fresh products, limiting waste or replacing plastic, as well as study and training services for personnel.

The Parisot school welcomes children from the 10 neighboring towns, which represents 95 covers 4 days a week, including the little ones from the À petits pas crèche.

The municipality received a subsidy of 12,305 euros with 15,840 meals served throughout the year. It is part of a global approach to sustainable development including the promotion of local products, the training of students and waste management. This call for projects makes it possible to finance in particular a low temperature oven, a cooling cell, two refrigerated cabinets and a cutting robot. The canteen works mainly with local products, fresh fruits and vegetables by promoting short circuits.

So far, Sarah and Nadia have been grating carrots like at home. With this equipment, the work should be easier and the children will enjoy it even better!
