Lipstick: what color for what complexion?

There are different textures: matte, satin and metallic. Lipstick now has an important place in our make-up routine and is often in line with our mood. You are free to play with all the colors, but some colors naturally highlight your skin tone. There is a red, purple, pink and nude for everyone, but not necessarily the same.

Clear skin

Whether you are blonde, brunette or redhead, all colors of lipstick will suit you. Red shades look great on you because they give your complexion a glow. The poppy shades as well as the orangey reds are very pretty because they give you a fresh complexion. You can also opt for candy pinks, raspberries and even fuchsias.

If you prefer a nude, choose it the same color as… your nipples. Yes yes, your nipples! They are usually two shades darker than our skin, resulting in the perfect shade of nude. Easy, right?

If you have a "warm" complexion all year round, you can without hesitation turn to sunny lipsticks. Very bright reds, corals and fuchias. Dare the colors!

Coppery browns and oranges give you a healthy glow directly. On the other hand, dark colors such as plum or burgundy should be avoided. Matte finishes aren't the best for you, either.

Mixed-race and black skin

If you have mixed-race skin, bet on shades with warm undertones. You're in luck, all shades of warm reds suit you. So think about pop and flashy colors.

And, if you have very dark or dark skin, dark colors are your best friends. With your complexion, dare to use darker colors such as browns, burgundy and plums that tend to purple and which sublimate you. The shaded lips also look great on you.
