During the Huawei Nova 9 trade show held this Thursday, October 21 in Paris, the Chinese manufacturer presented its new mid-range flagship as well as new developments in connected watches and audio.
For two years, following the American embargo against the Chinese manufacturer, Huawei has been focusing on innovation and paying a lot of attention to user demands and expectations. And, to reach as many consumers as possible, it targets women in particular with elegant, chic products… even if it means being clumsy.
Huawei has thus presented two Watch GT 3 models, which differ roughly in the genre they target: a connected watch measuring 46 mm, or 1.43 inches, and weighing 43 grams without the strap, rather intended for men. It has an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and has a 14-day battery life. The other model is 42 mm, or 1.32 inches, "thin and light" since it weighs only 35 grams and would therefore be aimed more at women. There, it will be necessary to be satisfied with an autonomy of 7 days.
The manufacturer particularly highlights the improvement in the precision of its Watch GT 3, whether in terms of location, but especially in terms of health. The screen also presents Huawei's "Health Clover", to take care of yourself in three points: sport, sleep and lifestyle. A true sports coach, the connected watch integrates personalization of training to progress, based on the history of the user, his objectives and his health data such as his height and weight.
Both models are fully customizable, whether at the level of the dial to which it is possible to apply a theme or bracelets with several materials available, without forgetting the partnerships that the manufacturer has forged with marks. Thus, Harry Potter bracelets will arrive soon to personalize the Watch GT 3, available for pre-order today, before an official release on November 18, at a price of 249 euros for the 46 mm model and 229 euros for the model of 42mm.
At the same time, Huawei quickly presented its Watch Fit Mini, a connected watch with a rectangular screen, very thin and elegant. It will be available for sale from November 15 at a price of 99 euros.
Before presenting its great novelty, the Sound Joy speaker, Huawei first unveiled the FreeBuds Lipstick, true wireless earphones with specifications identical to those of the FreeBuds 4, but intended for women . The headphones, red in color, are thus stored in a case resembling a lipstick, with a magnetic closure. Available from November 15, they will be sold at a price of 229 euros… while the FreeBuds 4 cost “only” 149 euros.
The nice surprise therefore came more from the Huawei Sound Joy portable bluetooth speaker, produced in collaboration with the French company Devialet. It was developed to meet the three main demands of customers: better artificial intelligence, greater autonomy and better sound power. Its fabric fiber design ensures a good grip of its 680 grams and better sound quality, 79 decibels, also due to its Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility. Note that it has IP67 certification.
To guarantee sufficient autonomy, it is equipped with an 8,000 mAh battery that can listen to 26 hours of music. Compatible with 40 Watt SuperCharge, it takes 3 hours to complete a full charge. It is possible to configure its luminous halo according to the battery level, the status of a software update or the music in progress. Fun fact: it is possible to connect two Sound Joy by shaking them, side by side, thanks to the Share Stereo Link Up feature.
The Sound Joy speaker is available for pre-order today, in green (khaki) or black, at a price of 149 euros. It will officially be released on November 10.
