The order in which you apply your beauty products is especially important. This ensures that each product is as effective as possible. If you are a little lost on this subject, Emilie Van de Poel, beauty columnist in "La Grande Forme" and beauty journalist for the magazine "Flair", is there to help you.
It's not always easy to find your way around your makeup bag. Which product to apply before the other? Does the order really matter? Foundation, blush, illuminator… The make-up department is overflowing with products of all kinds to look beautiful. Emilie Van de Poel, beauty columnist in "La Grande Forme" and beauty journalist for "Flair" magazine, helps you see things more clearly.
1. Primer
Before starting to put on makeup, you should always first cleanse your skin, apply lotion, serum and day cream.
We then use what is called a foundation. This step isn't mandatory, but it helps keep makeup in place all day, especially when it's hot or humid. The base has several functions: unifying the skin texture, tightening pores or even illuminating. It is generally transparent and light.
2. Foundation
We then move on to the foundation. Reminder: this make-up is not intended to give a healthy glow but to even out the skin. We therefore choose it in the same color as our skin. To test the color, place a little material on the jawline and if there is no demarcation on the neck, you have found the right foundation shade.
3. Concealer
We use a concealer or concealer that hides dark circles and small imperfections such as redness or pimples. It is applied in small quantities with a brush or the fingertip. We take it in a slightly lighter shade than our foundation.
4. Bronzer
We apply a bronzing powder, taking care not to put too much! For a natural result, just apply it where the sun naturally caresses the skin. To do this, we make a movement forming a 3 which starts from the top of the forehead to go down to the middle of the cheeks, then follow the jaw to the chin.
5. Blush
Then comes the blush which is applied to the rounded part of the cheek in very small quantities, especially if it is rich in pigments.
