The conditioner is one of the great classics of the bathroom. But do we really know how to use it? Spoiler alert: the answer is no.
In life, there are days when we are happy to know that the same evening, when we join the arms of Morpheus, we will go to bed less stupid (or at least more intelligent). This is exactly what happened to me yesterday, when I discovered that I did not know how to apply my conditioner!
That's crazy, isn't it? Twenty years that I waste liters and liters of conditioner without ever having questioned my technique. I explain everything to you.
You probably already know this, but after having lovingly shampooed your roots, it is rather common to apply a conditioner to your lengths. This product, which must be left on for a few minutes, is used to detangle the hair but also to discipline it, to make it shine and to bring it volume.
There are conditioners for all hair problems, but in addition to an adapted formula, what changes everything is the way of applying it...
To InStyle magazine, professional hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein explains:
Wringing out the lengths well before applying your conditioner would therefore be the ultimate trick to obtain a “come back from the hairdresser” effect after each shampoo. But you still have to do it right!
To wring out your hair properly, Clariss Rubenstein is not stingy with recommendations:
Another tip that's not that stupid: avoid treating your hair like your laundry, and don't twist it in all directions. It would still be a shame to damage your lengths and cause breakage by wanting to take care of them!
Well, I'll leave you with this revolutionary info: I have to check that I'm using my dry shampoo properly...
